Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation organises activities for workers to mark 53rd Eid Al Etihad
The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) is organising a variety of events for workers to celebrate the UAE’s 53rd Eid Al Etihad, in collaboration with the Ministry of Interior, Dubai Police, municipalities across the country, the National Ambulance, and Ras Al Khaimah Free Zone.
The Ministry has a longstanding tradition of organising events and initiatives for workers during holidays and special occasions, in line with the UAE’s holistic social and humanitarian vision that strives to reinforce the country’s global leadership in the labour market, as well as other fields. The activities also align with the Ministry’s own strategy to enhance quality of life, wellbeing, and happiness for workers.
His Excellency Mohsen Al Nasi, Assistant Undersecretary for Inspection and Compliance at the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, said, “The activities and initiatives that the Ministry is accustomed to implementing during holidays and occasions for the workforce are in line with the comprehensive social and humanitarian trends of the country, which enhances its global leadership in the labor market and in all other fields. They are also in line with the vision and strategy of the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation in enhancing the quality of life and the level of well-being and happiness of the workforce.” He explained, “The celebratory activities for the 53rd Union Day target workers across the country and will be held in workers’ housing that is characterized by providing facilities such as gyms and open playgrounds. The activities will include sports activities, matches, interactive competitions and recreational initiatives within a competitive framework, during which a group of valuable prizes and gifts will be distributed.

A range of valuable prizes will be distributed during the events, largely sponsored by Insurance pool as a diamond sponsor Aldar Properties, UAE Food Bank, the International Humanitarian Charity Organisation (IHCO), Dar Al Ber Society, Al Ihsan Charity Association, Fujairah Welfare Association, Union Coop, Kitopi, and Almarai and Shamsin Restaurant.
Her Excellency Dalal Al Shehhi, Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Labour Protection at MoHRE, stressed the Ministry’s commitment to maintaining continuous engagement with workers, recognising their role as key partners in the UAE’s journey to excellence across all sectors. Al Shehhi noted that regularly involving workers and launching initiatives dedicated to them have become a permanent part of the Ministry’s programme, and a source of happiness and relief for workers, offering them a mix of enjoyment and benefits.
Al Shehhi explained that the UAE’s labour ecosystem is founded on a modern vision that integrates workers as a core component of the economy, acknowledging their critical role in advancing the labour market and ensuring its global leadership. Her Excellency underscored the profound appreciation and recognition the workforce receives in the UAE, expressed prominently in the second edition of the Emirates Labour Market Award, one of the nation’s most prestigious awards which honoured 48 winners, including establishment employees and domestic workers.”
The UAE has notably strengthened its global leadership in terms of promoting workers’ wellbeing, happiness, stability, and quality of life, particularly through its social protection system, including the Unemployment Insurance Scheme, Savings Scheme, health insurance plans, and the Wage Protection System, and other pioneering initiatives that support private sector employees, in addition to celebrating and honouring exceptional workers.
