Based on the keenness of the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation to involve the public in developing and improving its services and policies, topics are periodically raised on the website sharik.ae

Labor Complaints

Objective and subject: The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation aims to develop the labour complaints process for private sector and domestic workers. The Ministry has the authority to issue a final decision without the need to refer the complaint to the judiciary if an amicable settlement between the parties cannot be reached, provided the claim amount does not exceed 50,000 dirhams. This development has effectively reduced the traditional litigation process from six stages to two, significantly minimising the time and effort required for the targeted users. Expected Outcomes of the Implementation: • The swift acquisition of legally entitled dues for rightful claimants, with the dispute resolution period not exceeding a maximum of 14 days. • Saving time, effort, and money for users, as the process consists of only two stages in the customer journey. • Reducing the number of complaints referred to the judiciary. • Enhancing compliance with legal provisions.

Result

Developing the labour complaints process for the private sector and domestic workers by granting the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation the authority to issue final decisions for claims not exceeding AED 50,000 without the need for court referral in cases where amicable settlement is not possible. This streamlines the litigation process from six stages to two, saving time and effort for users.
